How did I get into CliftonStrengths?

When I worked for the Pulte Institute for Global Development at the University of Notre Dame our forward thinking Executive Director introduced CliftonStrengths® as a professional development and team bonding opportunity. I had taken Myer-Briggs and similar personality tests before, but CliftonStrengths® highlighted the true power and brilliance of individuality. CliftonStrengths® resonated with me because it celebrates diversity in the workplace. I felt seen, appreciated, and humbled all at the same time.

Later, I seized an opportunity to become a Certified CliftonStrengths® Coach to support a federal program called the Mandela Washington Fellowship. I thoroughly enjoyed working with tomorrow’s leaders from the African continent. My high energy, positivity, and professionalism engaged people from a variety of backgrounds. I was complimented on how well I know my group, and take time to connect with everyone.

Now, I’m a Certified CliftonStrengths® Coach for individuals and organizations interested in improving themselves. I work with a variety of clients, from small start-ups in Angola, to University departments and institutes and research groups. I’ve worked with groups of all different sizes and locations. I’ve worked with groups up to 25 engaging synchronously online (through Zoom), and I’ve led workshops in person in the states and abroad. Because of my experience, I welcome new clients no matter the size or location. I deliver top-notch service, handle requests with expertise, and make sure that every coaching experience provides benefit for each person or group.

~Individuals tend to seek my coaching services because their curious and they want to improve their work performance and/or lifetime goals. ~Organizations seek my workshop and small group services to improve to provide professional development, enrichment, and to improve employee engagement, retention, and performance.

FAQ

Is CliftonStrengths truly for anyone?

Yes, I’ve worked with entrepreneurs, young professionals, international development organizations, graduate students, and scientists. Understanding your own strengths can help anyone be better at their current job, find the best job, improve personal and professional relationships, and improve confidence. I truly believe CliftonStrengths® can unlock exponential personal and professional growth in anyone at any stage of their life.

What if I already have my Top 5 Strengths?

I can still support you. If you know your Top 5 Strengths or all 34, I can meet with you in person or virtually to talk about what your strengths mean to you and how you can harness them to set and reach goals.

I took the CliftonStrengths® assessment a while ago. Should I take it again?

Short Answer: Maybe

Long Answer: Studies have shown that our minds are not fully formed until our early to mid-thirties. I would recommend taking the the CliftonStrengths® assessment again IF you took the assessment 7-10 years ago when you were in your late teens or early twenties. If this is not you, I don’t recommend taking the assessment again. Gallup has shown that people test consistently, but people’s top 7 may change order a bit. This is because there is very small significant difference between your #1 and your #7 strength.
